Are GS1 Digital Link and SmartLabel the same thing?
Some leading consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands have launched an effort to offer data controlled by the brand through a secondary QR code. The SmartLabel content operates similarly.
However, the GS1 Digital Link is a single barcode that can be used for both point-of-sale (POS) checkout and by consumers to access product information. Moreover, the Digital Link's durability allows for using a "Resolver," which enables different applications to direct to other web pages using the same barcode.
