What is a Resolver?

The "resolver" component in Digital Link allows a barcode to direct to various data sources depending on the application that reads the symbol. If there's no "resolver," the link encoded in the barcode will only point to a single web address.

Using a "resolver," brands can ensure that different scans of the same barcode lead to the most suitable endpoint. For example, a product may have only one QR code on its packaging, but scanning it with a "warehouse application" will direct you to a different URL than scanning it with a "consumer application."
